C\u2019est en 1875 que la Ville de Versailles a fait construire un Stand Municipal de Tir \u00e0 l\u2019emplacement actuel du Stand National de Tir de Versailles. Le 17 ao\u00fbt 1876, la Municipalit\u00e9 de Versailles d\u00e9cide de fonder une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de tir et de pr\u00e9paration militaire qui prend le titre de\u00a0\u201cSoci\u00e9t\u00e9 Versaillaise de Tir\u201d<\/span><\/strong>, \u00e0 qui elle confie son Stand Municipal. Le 15 novembre 1877, cette soci\u00e9t\u00e9 devient \u201csoci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile de tir\u201d sous le titre de \u201cLe Tir de Versailles\u201d puis est transform\u00e9 en Stand National de Tir en 1924. Le Stand National de Tir de Versailles occupe une superficie de 2,5 hectares, les constructions appartenant \u00e0 la\u00a0F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Fran\u00e7aise de Tir (FFTir)<\/span><\/strong> couvrent 2.250 m\u00b2!! Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9 en 1928 par le Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique de l\u2019\u00e9poque, Monsieur Gaston Doumergue.<\/p>

En 1931, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 prend le nom de\u00a0Tir National de Versailles<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0pour assurer la gestion du stand, elle est reconnue d\u2019utilit\u00e9 publique depuis 1974. Ses buts statutaires sont le d\u00e9veloppement du tir sportif.<\/p>

Ses installations sont les seules \u00e0 permettre le d\u00e9roulement des Championnats de la ligue de tir d\u2019Ile de France forte de 22 000 membres. Le TNV est \u00e9galement l\u2019un des plus importants clubs de tir de France avec\u00a01 750 adh\u00e9rents<\/span><\/strong> (d\u00e9but f\u00e9vrier 2026).<\/p>
